BorrowFuel does not state that it is licensed, authorised, or registered by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), or any other sector regulator until the relevant approval has actually been obtained. 2. Agreement
By using BorrowFuel you agree to these Terms, the Consumer Credit Agreement, the Privacy Notice, and the Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract in Nigeria. We may require identity verification (KYC) before granting fuel credit.
4. The product
BorrowFuel is a fuel-now, pay-later facility. It is not a cash loan and unused fuel grant is not owed. You become liable for fuel actually dispensed at partner stations, plus disclosed service charges and any overdue interest.
Credit limits, due dates, service charges, and overdue rates are shown in the app or web portal before or at the time of purchase.
5. Your account
Keep login details confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account unless you tell us promptly of unauthorised use. Do not allow another person to buy fuel on your facility.
6. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the platform, attempt fraud, interfere with partner stations, or use BorrowFuel for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close accounts to protect customers, stations, or the integrity of the service.
7. Partner stations
Fuel is dispensed by independent petrol stations. Station availability, pump prices, and opening hours are outside our control. Disputes about litres dispensed at the pump should be raised promptly with the station and with us.
8. Fees, repayment, and default
Service charges, due dates, overdue interest, allocation of payments, and caps are set out in the Consumer Credit Agreement. Refunds and cancellations are described in the Refund Policy.
9. Liability
The website and apps are provided with reasonable care. We do not exclude liability that cannot be excluded under Nigerian law, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for station-side pump or supply failures outside our reasonable control.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms, except where applicable law requires extra notice for credit terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Nigerian courts have jurisdiction, without limiting any statutory consumer rights.
